Caramel Eggless Bread Pudding

This is a very easy ,delicious and exotic pudding with a few ingredients. The ingredients will be always available at our home,so you can make it at any time.

A lovely caramel eggless bread pudding for all....

Ingredients

Bread slices – 6
Milk – 1 1/4cup
Sugar – 6tbs
Vanilla essence – 1tsp

For caramel

Sugar – 6tbs
Water – 3tbs

Preparation

1.Cut or tear the bread slices into very small pieces.Add sugar and milk to it and mash very well. Then add the vanilla essence ,combine well and keep it aside.

2.Take a pan.add sugar and water,in a medium flame, don’t stir once the sugar started to melt, just swirl it.

3.First the sugar melts, then it will start bubbling, then slowly it will starts to change the color to brown, when it gets golden brown switch off the flame and immediately transfer to the pudding dish and tilt it so that it gets coated evenly on all sides.

4.Now pour the bread mixture on the top of the caramel. Then cover the vessel with aluminium foil and prick  some holes, for the steam to escape.

5.Place the vessel inside the pressure cooker containing half cup of water in it.Now close it  and steam without weight  for 20mins.

6.Take the vessel outside and allow to cool and then place it in the fridge for 2-3hrs.Once it is set invert it into plate and cut into desired shape.

You can enjoy this cool dessert as such ( as I did)or drizzle some caramel sauce or serve it with cool whip cream .It will be more tasty with caramel sauce.

Note:Don’t over heat the sugar syrup after it turns golden brown color, otherwise it may taste bitter.
