This is my simple version of chinese chilli chicken....Have a look
Ingredients:
1.Boneless chicken – 250gm (cut into thin strips)
2.Chilli flakes – 1 tbs
3.Pepper powder – ¼ tsp
4.Soyasauce – 2 1/2tbs(for marination add 1 tbs)
5.Chilli sauce – 2tbs(for marination add 1 tbs)
6.Salt as required
7.Sliced
onion – 2
8.Sliced capsicum – 1
9.Finely chopped ginger and garlic – 1 tbs each
10.Green chilli – 1
11.Chilli powder – 1/2tsp
12.Corn flour – 1 tbs(mixed with ¼ cup water)
13.Sugar – less than 1/4tsp
14. Sesame oil /
Vegetable oil – as required.
Direction:
1.Marinate the chicken strips with the
ingredients from 1 to 6 and keep it aside
for 10-15 mins.
2.Now heat oil in a non
stick pan and stir fry the sliced onion ,
split green chilli, capsicum with ½ tbs
of soyasauce and salt for 2 minutes and
keep it aside.
3.Add little more oil
and stir fry chopped ginger and garlic,then add the marinated chicken strips to
it and stir it for sometimes,then add ½ cup of water (to get the chicken stock)
and close it with a lid.
4.Cook the chicken
pieces till it becomes tender,now add ½ tsp
chilli powder,sugar and the remaining sauces and fry for a minute.Then add the
cornflour mix,stir well and continue to fry , till it get dry.
5. When it is done,add
the stir fried ingredients and give it a good stir.
Our Chinese chilli
chicken is ready to serve…
