Paneer kheer(Paneer payasam)

Paneer kheer...really a delicious and rich dessert yet very simple to prepare.It has a lovely texture and i am sure everyone can enjoy this tasty dessert.With the below mentioned ingredients ,it makes 5 servings.Please all try this wonderful kheer and i am eager to hear the replies from you.I got this idea from . This my husband's most wanted dessert.You can even make this wonderful kheer for your favourite festivals such as holi,diwali,onam...All festivals are celebrated with sweets and desserts.






Ingredients


Paneer – 200g(crumbled)

Milk – 3 ½ cups

Corn flour – 1tbs(mixed with little water)

Condensed milk – 4tbs

Sugar – 3-4tbs(adjust according to your taste)

Saffron strands – 3( soak in 1tbs of hot milk)

Cardamom powder – a pinch

Rose essence – 2 drops

Sliced Almond and Pistachios – 4tbs


Method


1.In a saucepan boil milk,when it starts to boil take 1tbs of milk and soak in saffron strands.then add sugar to the milk and stir well until completely dissolved.


2.Add condensed milk and mix then add the corn flour mixture, stir well continuosly until it starts thickening.


3.Now add the crumbled paneer to the mixture and cook for 6-8 mins .Then add the saffron mixture,cardamom powder and rose essence and give a quick mix and switch off the flame.


4.Garnish with sliced almonds and pistachios.Allow it to cool and refrigerate for 30mins.




Serve delicious chilled paneer kheer…really very very tasty.

Mango Sago pudding

I was searching for a quick dessert recipe,at last i got a simple and easy recipe from rak's kitchen,that is mango sago pudding.

Serve for 2




Ingredients

Ripe mango chopped – 1 big
Milk – ½ cup
Condensed milk – 1/2cup
Sugar – 3tbs
Sago(chowari) – ¼ cup(medium size)

Method

1.Soak sago for an  hour,after soaking put the sago  in a strainer and wash it under the running tap water to remove excess starch from it.

2.Boil 3-4 cups of water and add the washed sago ,then cook it until soft and transulent.It takes 2-3minutes to cook,don’t over cook it.

3.Drain the water in a strainer and again wash it under the running water to remove the starch.

4.Blend the chopped mango pieces,milk,sugar and condensed milk until smooth.



5.Pour the smooth mango paste to a bowl and add the cooked sago and mix well.

6.Top with chopped mango pieces and chill it for 2-3hrs.


Enjoy this simple sweet dessert…
