Corn Flour Halwa in microwave(Diwali special)

WISH YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS DIWALI!!!!

Today you can see here a very easy recipe for making a halwa, corn flour halwa in microwave. It can be made both on  microwave and on stove top. This is a diwali special sweet for all.Got this simple recipe from Rak's kitchen. This halwa is having a jelly texture, but tastes sweeter than that.

Ingredients

1.Corn flour – 1/2cup
2.Sugar – 1 1/2cup
3.Water – 2cups
4.Food color(color you like)- few drops
5.Cardamom powder – a pinch
6.Nuts(cashew & almond) – 2tsp
7.Ghee – 2tsp

Method

1.Take a microwave safe bowl, add in corn flour, sugar, water, food color, cardamom and mix well without any lumps.

2.Put the bowl in the microwave and put this on high for 9minutes. Take it out after every 3mins and mix well, so that it doesn't form any lumps.(For me it took 9mins,varies according to the microwave)

3.Heat ghee in a pan and fry  2tsp of chopped cashewnuts and almonds.Pour it over the halwa and mix.

4.Grease a tray with ghee .

5.Pour the halwa over it and allow it to cool for 30mins.

6.Cut it into desired shape and serve.

Enjoy this diwali with an easy and tasty sweet.

Note:1.You can make this on stove top also, use a non stick pan and keep whisking continuously. When the halwa starts to leaves the sides, transfer to a greased tray.
2.Don't refrigerate as it changes the texture,so finish it within 2 days.
